CMU Volleyball Camps

All-Skills Overnight Camp

Additional Notes (Updated 7/6/2017):

  1. ALL campers (both residents and commuters) will register for camp at the Towers dorm tomorrow between 11:30am & 12:30pm.
  2. The address for the Towers is 202 W Broomfield St., Mt Pleasant, MI 48858. Located on Broomfield, The Towers is between the railroad tracks and 7 Eleven. Please see attached campus map for assistance.
  3. Please bring your completed concussion and consent forms to registration today (must be completed before you can participate).
  4. Resident campers, one more reminder of things to bring with you to camp:
    • Bedding (Pillow, blankets, sheets, sleeping bag, etc)
    • Towel and toiletries
    • Cash for camp store
    • Volleyball Apparel (t-shirts, spandex, shorts, kneepads, socks, shoes)
    • Water bottle
    • Snacks/drinks for dorm (no refrigerator in rooms)
    • Fan

ALL-SKILLS OVERNIGHT CAMP:
This 3-day camp will combine the 6 major skills (passing, setting, blocking, defense, serving, attacking) of volleyball into 3 days of training. Campers can expect to receive individual skill training and competition against other campers.

CAMP ITINERARY
Day 1
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM   Registration and dorm check-in for residents
1:15 - 1:30 PM   Resident Campers walk to McGuirk / Commuter Campers meet at McGuirk Arena
1:30 - 4:00 PM   Session 1
4:00 - 6:00 PM   Dinner break (provided to both commuters and residents)
6:00 - 7:30 PM   Session 2
7:30 PM   Dismiss & Walk back to dorm / Commuter pick-up in McGuirk Arena
Day 2
7:00 - 8:15 AM   Breakfast (for resident campers only)
8:30 - 8:45 AM   Residents meet in Lobby & walk to McGuirk Arena
8:45 AM   Commuter drop off at McGuirk Arena
9:00 - 11:30 AM   Session 3
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM   Lunch break (provided to both commuters and residents)
1:30 - 4:00 PM   Session 4
4:00 - 5:30 PM   Dinner Break (provided to both commuters and residents)
6:00 - 7:30 PM   Session 5
7:30 PM   Dismiss & Walk back to dorms / Commuter pick-up in McGuirk Arena
Day 3
